The Clamecy museum is housed in two historical buildings: the Duke of Bellegarde’s mansion and the house where Romain Rolland was born, and its collections are wide and varied. From Gallo-roman and Merovingian archaeological finds, including a unique zodiac disc found in Chevroches, to fine arts, a collection of advertising paraphernalia by Charles Loupot; antique pottery; Romain Rolland’s Nobel prize for literature memorabilia; a reference to logging in the area. Several audio-visuals complement your visit.
