Permanent exhibition on the life and times of the famous Sébastien Le Prestre de Vauban, born in May 1633 at Saint-Léger-Vauban, who died on 30th March 1707 in Paris. The museum is devoted to the great man from the Morvan, with details on his life’s work. He was not only a military man, a technician, and architect, town planner, economist, philosopher, but also a great humanitarian, who devoted his whole life to the kingdom of France under Louis XIV
Visits: 30 March to 11 November, Thursdays to Sundays and public holidays, 10 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 6 pm. From 17 July to 18 August, Wednesday to Sunday and public holidays, 10 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 6 pm.
Open all year round for groups, by appointment (except 25/12 and 01/01).
