Permanent exhibition on the life and times of the famous Sébastien Le Prestre de Vauban, born in May 1633 at Saint-Léger-Vauban, who died on 30th March 1707 in Paris. The museum is devoted to the great man from the Morvan, with details on his life’s work. He was not only a military man, a technician, and architect, town planner, economist, philosopher, but also a great humanitarian, who devoted his whole life to the kingdom of France under Louis XIV
Visits: 4 April to 11 November, Thursdays to Sundays and public holidays, 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm. From 14 July to 23 August, Wednesday to Sunday and public holidays, 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm. Open all year round for groups, by appointment (except 25/12 and 01/01).
